TRAININGS & IMMERSIONS

I offer group and one to one yoga and pregnancy yoga classes in South Somerset designed to help bring people back into their bodies and to learn to meet all aspects of themselves with ease and kindness. Please see below for my current timetable and booking process.

I encourage students to move from their heart, rather than their head, approaching each asana and class with a beginner’s mind rather than basing it on anyone else or past experiences. For me, asana practice is not a solely mechanical practice and it’s my role to help students keep their practice alive and find their individual flow. Only we can offer the best judgement on what feels right for our body on any given day,  and although I offer a guided practice I want my students to find the confidence to move in a way which is truly beneficial to them.

I ask my students to use their practice as a form of observation and to relish in the journey rather than the end result as hard as this might sometimes be. Through movement or stillness can we start to pick up on the subtle messages which our body is trying to share with us often lost in the business of our day to day and can we continue to tune into what has been revealed to us once we’re off our mat and incorporate it into our day to day lives.

Since having had my first baby in September 2020, I have uncovered a new found sense of strength, courage and vulnerability. It has sometimes been challenging to adapt to the deep changes I feel in my body and my mind as nothing feels quite the same as it did before. But I am learning to embrace it and tap into this new awareness and sensitivity and bring it to my practice and teaching.

Having practiced online with Nadia Rafaat during my pregnancy I was inspired to train with her and completed the first Yoga and Mindfulness for Pregnancy and Birth Training with Nadia in March 2021. I now feel extremely passionate about sharing these teachings and supporting others as they journey through this incredibly transformative time of pregnancy and beyond.

I believe that all the elements which make up yoga help us to peel back the layers and I’m excited to help others explore their inner landscape as I continue to explore mine. I feel honoured to help students find comfort in their own skin, challenge themselves and come home to their body.

I invite you to move, breathe and observe with me. Let’s explore together.

I am extremely grateful to all of my friends, teachers and students who continue to guide and support me on this journey.
